英文简历是使用英文写的简历。英文简历(resume)并无固定不变的单一形式，应聘者完全可以根据个人的具体情况来确定采用何种形式，灵活设计。
做英文简历可不能按照中文简历的要求来写，因为中文简历和英文简历无论在基本要求还是企业要求等方面都是不一样的。也就是说简历的内容以及招聘者的审核标准都是不一样的，为此做英文简历必须重视以下十个问题才行。
不要使用任何简历模板，因为根据相关调查得出的结论是使用简历模板获得的机会会大大降低的，因为外企比较看重个人创造力而厌恶那种复制的风气。
简历必须具备专业性，也就是简历里的内容一定要突出重点才行，该写的写、有用的写，没有用的或者无关的全部扔掉以免影响简洁度，老外的风格就是简洁至上而讨厌任何多余的东西。
不要出现任何夸张性的东西，因为夸张的语句给人一种很不实在的感觉，对于外国人来说本来就喜欢直白而你却塑造了一种自吹自擂的印象，外国人能够对你产生什么好感吗？他们最厌恶的急是华而不实或者拐弯抹角、油嘴滑舌的人。
不要在简历里把政治面貌状况进行说明，因为政治在外国人眼里不值一文，但是他们却会顾及你的政治身份，也就是说他们不希望你带有政治方面的身份以免影响工作。
经历丰富但是不能什么都说，你可以把正式工作、兼职、实习等具有实践性的经历都写出来，但是和应聘关联度不大的经历是不能出现在简历里的，这样会影响审核简历的速度。
不要把你会的软件全部写进简历，虽然老外对计算机能力比我们更加看重，但是你一定要展现你真正熟悉的软件以及对工作有帮助的软件，不要在简历里加上所有软件。
姓名要按照外国标准写，不要按照香港或者个人喜欢的方式写，要知道姓名可是留档的，而不只是在工作当中用下而已。如果姓名不符合标准写法那么被淘汰的概率很大，连名字都不写清楚可是令人不能容忍的。
语言一定要准确并且精练，没有本事弄出复杂的语句就不要弄了，到时候弄得一个句子出现那么多的问题，这样的语句叫人家怎么看得懂了？还有注意缩写的情况，一定要遵守标准写而不能按照个人想法，该缩写的时候就缩写，不该缩写则不要偷懒或者认为可以缩写。
